Our Story

​Oaktree Resource Centre was planted in October 2017 in George Town, Penang, out of a mother’s profound love. Founded by Catherine De Padua after a 12-year journey navigating special education for her daughter, Oaktree was created to solve a singular, vital problem: the need for a holistic, "one-stop" sanctuary where neurodivergent children truly belong.

A New Chapter
Today, that mission reaches new heights under the leadership of our new owners, Yivern and Kimberly. Carrying forward the torch of specialized care, Yivern and Kimberly bring a renewed passion for empowering students aged 7 to 17.

Who We Are Today
We are a dedicated community of educators and specialists who believe that "learning never stops." By focusing on functional academics, social-communication, and independent living skills, we transform challenges into milestones. Under our new leadership, Oaktree remains a nurturing "second home"—growing stronger every day to give every child a clear and dignified purpose in life.
